How to Update Software on an iPad
Steps to Update
Open Settings:
Tap on the Settings app on your iPad.
Navigate to General:
Scroll down and select General from the list of options.
Access Software Update:
Tap on Software Update.
Your iPad will check for available updates.
Install the Update:
If an update is available, tap Download and Install.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Additional Information
Compatibility Note: The iPad 1 cannot be updated past iOS 5.1.
Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has sufficient battery life or is plugged into a power source before updating.
