How to Connect to FSCJ-Wireless network using a Chromebook
This guide will help you connect your Chromebook to the FSCJ-Wireless network using specific WiFi settings. Follow the steps below to ensure a successful connection.
Steps to Connect:
Turn on your Chromebook:
Ensure your Chromebook is powered on and you are logged in.
Access WiFi Settings:
Click on the status area at the bottom-right corner of the screen (where you see the WiFi icon).
Click on the WiFi network icon to view available networks.
Select FSCJ-Wireless Network:
In the list of available networks, find and select FSCJ-Wireless.
Configure Network Settings:
A configuration window will appear. Enter the following details:
Security: Select EAP.
EAP Method: Choose PEAP.
EAP Phase 2 Authentication: Select MSCHAPv2.
Server CA Certificate: Choose Do not check.
Subject match: Leave this field blank.
Subject alternative name match: Leave this field blank.
Domain suffix match: Leave this field blank.
Identity: Enter your FSCJ UserID.
Password: Enter your FSCJ password.
Anonymous Identity: Leave this field blank.
Connect to the Network:
After entering all the necessary information, click Connect to join the network.
Verify Connection:
Once connected, verify that your Chromebook displays Connected next to FSCJ-Wireless in the WiFi settings.
Troubleshooting:
If you encounter issues connecting to the network, try the following steps:
Double-check that all settings, including your UserID and password, are entered correctly.
Restart your Chromebook and try connecting again.
Ensure that you are within range of the FSCJ-Wireless network.
