How To Turn On JIRA and JSM Notifications

If you are not getting email notifications when you update a ticket, you should check the “You make changes to the issue” setting in your "Personal settings".  Here’s how he can check it:

Bring up the popup menu by clicking on your name found in the top right of the page.  From there, select the “Personal settings” option.

Scroll down the page, you’ll find the email options about halfway down the page.  Simply select the options you’d like.

Click Save Changes and your selections will be updated.
