How to Re-authorize Webex in Canvas

Introduction

If you receive the message "Your Webex Authorization has expired," follow these steps to re-authorize Webex in Canvas.

Steps

  1. Access Webex Link

    • Go to the Cisco Webex link in any of your Canvas courses and click the Virtual Meetings tab.

  2. Log Out

    • In the top right corner, next to Support, click the Log Out button (a rectangle with an arrow).

 

  1. Sign In with Webex

    • Click Sign in with Webex Meetings.

    • Enter your FSCJ email address if prompted.

    • Enter your FSCJ user ID and Password if prompted.

    • Accept any permissions requests if prompted.

  2. Reauthorization Complete

    • Your Cisco Webex account is now reauthorized in Canvas.

Canvas Webex Re-Authorization

Description:  In Canvas, while trying to create a Webex meeting, I received the following message “Your Webex Authorization has expired. Please re-authorize Webex.

 

1. Access the Cisco Webex link in any of your Canvas courses. Click the Virtual Meetings tab if it doesn't automatically

2. In the top right, next to support, click the Log Out button (it should look like a rectangle with an arrow in it).

 

 

3. Click Sign in with Webex Meetings.

4. Enter your FSCJ email address, if prompted.

5. Enter your FSCJ user ID and Password, if prompted.

6. Accept the permissions request, if prompted.

7. You have now reauthorized your Cisco Webex account in Canvas and should be able to access it again.
