How to Embed Video in Your Canvas Course
Introduction
Embedding videos from Canvas Studio into your Canvas course enhances your class content. This guide explains how to do it using the Rich Content Editor.
Steps
Open Rich Content Editor
Look for the V icon (More External Tools button) and click it.
Choose Studio
Select Studio from the dropdown menu.
View Collection
Search for and view existing media or upload new media. Instructors can view uploads for individual courses.
View Media
When viewing embedded media in the Rich Content Editor, users can use a variety of tools. Playback controls allow viewers to customize their own viewing experience. Students will also be able to comment on the video.
Additional Information
Instructors can also add Canvas Studio media assignments with the Canvas Studio integration.
Instructors can grade submissions in SpeedGrader just like any other Canvas assignment.
When submitting a video or audio file for an assignment, students can submit Canvas Studio media through the Rich Content Editor as a Text Entry submission, or they can access their Canvas Studio media directly as a File Upload submission.
