How to View All of Your Grades

Introduction

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to view your grades in Canvas. You will learn how to access your grades from the Dashboard, understand your grade display, and how to calculate grades based on graded assignments only.

Step 1: Log into Canvas

Access Canvas:

Navigate to Canvas FSCJ.
Log in using your College username and password.

Step 2: Navigate to Your Dashboard

Dashboard:

Once logged in, you will be directed to your Dashboard.

Step 3: Locate the To-Do List

To-Do List:

The To-Do List is located on the right side of your Dashboard screen.
Select the View Grades option here.

Step 4: View All Grades

Grades Page:

On the Grades page, you will see all your grades for all active courses.
Under the Courses I'm Taking heading, each course's name and current overall grade (if available) will be displayed.
If no grades have been assigned, the grade will appear as "no grade."

Step 5: View Grading Details

Course Grading Details:

Click on the name of the course to view detailed grading information.

Step 6: Calculate Grades Based on Graded Assignments

Graded Assignments Only:

By default, grades aren't calculated based only on graded assignments.
To see your graded total in its current state, check the box labeled "Calculate based only on graded assignments".

*Note: Your instructor may restrict you from viewing grade totals.
