Which Browser Should I Use?

For best performance, Canvas should be used on the current or first previous major release of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.

Accessing Canvas Through myFSCJ

  1. Navigate to the student portal, myFSCJ (https://my.fscj.edu/), and log in with your student College credentials.

  2. From the Student Center dropdown, select the tile labeled Canvas

  3. You may then be prompted to sign in using your College credentials

  4. There is also a link to Canvas within the Useful Links tile

Accessing Canvas Directly

If myFSCJ is unavailable or you would like to navigate to Canvas directly, you can access Canvas via the URL, https://canvas.fscj.edu/

Log in to Canvas

Use your College username and password to log in to Canvas.

Canvas Apps for Mobile Devices

While you can access Canvas on your phone or a tablet using a browser app, such as Firefox or Chrome, you can also install the free Canvas Student app on your mobile devices. To do so, visit the App Store on your iPhone/iPad or the Google Play store on your Android device. Note that several apps are developed and released by Canvas to manage a variety of student and instructor functions. You should look for the specifically branded Canvas Student App, shown below. If you would like more information about the apps, click on their names.

When you start the Canvas Student mobile app for the first time, you will need to search for our institution on the first page (Florida State College at Jacksonville or FSCJ). The Canvas Student mobile app has a great deal of functionality and will allow you to complete and upload course assignments, participate in conferences, and receive notifications about course due dates and announcements.
