How to Re-Register OneLogin Protect on a New Device

Introduction

Re-registering OneLogin Protect on a new device involves revoking access from the old device and setting up the new device. This guide will help you through each step to ensure you can log in securely.

Steps to Re-Register OneLogin Protect

  1. Access OneLogin:

  2. Log In:

    • Enter your FSCJ username and click Continue.

  3. Enter Password:

    • Type your FSCJ password and click Continue.

  4. Open Profile Settings:

    • Once logged in, click your name in the top right-hand corner.

  5. Select Profile:

    • Choose Profile from the dropdown menu.

  6. Revoke Old Device Access:

    • Click on Security Factors.

    • Locate the OneLogin Protect registration you wish to remove.

    • Click the three dots next to the registration and select Remove.

  7. Confirm Removal:

    • Click Remove again to confirm.

  8. Add a New Device:

    • Within your OneLogin Profile, go back to Security Factors.

    • Click on Add Factor.

  9. Select OneLogin Protect:

    • Choose OneLogin Protect from the drop-down list (if it is not already selected).

    • Keep this screen open as you will need to scan a QR code.

  10. Activate Registration:

    • Click on Activate.

  11. Open OneLogin Protect App:

    • On your mobile device, open the OneLogin Protect app.

    • Tap the + at the top right corner to add your account.

    • Grant access to your camera if prompted, by clicking Ok.

  12. Pair Your Device:

    • There are two methods available: Scan Barcode or Manual Entry.

    • Choose Scan Barcode for automatic pairing.

  13. Scan the QR Code:

    • Use your mobile device to scan the QR Code displayed on your PC screen.

    • If the QR code does not scan, choose Manual Entry on your computer. Once you receive the code, manually enter it into your smartphone.

  14. Confirmation:

    • Upon successful registration, a green bar will appear with the message "You Successfully Registered the Device."
