What is an Essential Card?

An Essential Card is a multifunctional card for students at FSCJ that serves several purposes:

• Student ID Card: Identifies you as a student of FSCJ.

• Essential Bucks Card: Allows you to load money for printing and copying services.

• Library Card: Enables you to check out materials from any FSCJ library.

How do I load money onto the Essential Card?

You can load money onto your Essential Card using one of the following methods:

• Online through myFSCJ:

  1. Log into your myFSCJ account.

  2. Click on the "Useful Links" tile.

  3. Select "Essential Bucks" from the left column.

  4. Click "Add Value" to load money onto your card. The minimum amount to load is $5.00.

• In-person at the Business Office:

  • Visit the Business Office, where you can add funds using cash, credit, or debit card.

How do I print or make copies at the library?

To print or make copies, follow these steps:

• Printing:

  1. Ensure you have sufficient funds loaded on your Essential Card.

  2. Send your document to the printer using "pcounter-fscj" as the destination.

  3. Use your Essential Card to release and collect the print job at the printer.

• Copying:

  • Use your Essential Card at the copier to make copies. The cost is 10 cents per page.
