How to Request Additional Accommodations for Current Students

Introduction

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how current students at FSCJ can request additional accommodations through the Accommodate system. Following these instructions ensures that your accommodation requests are accurately submitted for review by the Student Support Services Team.

Step 1: Log In

• Use your FSCJ credentials to log into the Accommodate system.

Step 2: Access the Additional Accommodation Section

• Hover over the Accommodation tab in the main menu.

• Click on Additional Accommodation(s) from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Submit a Request for Additional Accommodations

• Select the Additional Accommodation tab.

• Click the Add New button to update your information and submit your request.

  1. Diagnosis Category:

     • Select your diagnosis category from the drop-down menu. You can select multiple categories.

  2. Academic Impact:

     • Describe how your disability affects your academic ability in the space provided.

  3. Student Life Impact:

     • Explain how your disability affects your student life and experience.

  4. Accommodation Request:

     • Choose the accommodation you are requesting from the drop-down menu. If it is not listed, provide details in the space below.

  5. Semester:

     • Select the semester in which the accommodation is needed from the drop-down menu.

  6. Multiple Requests:

     • You can request multiple additional accommodations.

  7. Supporting Documents:

     • Attach any supporting documents that explain why the accommodation is needed.

  8. Campus/Coordinator Preference:

     • Select your preferred campus or coordinator.

  9. Submit Request:

     • Once all information is complete, click Submit.

Step 4: Review Your Request

• Once submitted, you will be able to view your request in the system. The request is not yet complete and will be reviewed by the Student Support Services Team.
