How to Record and Save a Webcam Video in Canvas Studio
Introduction
The webcam recording tool is a quick and easy way to make a video using your webcam. You can record media for any length of time, but we recommend keeping your videos under 5 minutes for maximum student attention. This guide will walk you through recording and saving a video.
Steps
Record Video
Click the Record button and select Webcam Capture.

Allow Access
Click the Allow button to grant access to your camera and microphone.

Start Recording
Click the Start Recording button.

Finish Recording
Click the Finish button when done.
Â
Save Recording
View your recording, enter a title, and click the Save button.
Click Start Over to record again if needed.

View Recording
On the My Uploads page, view and manage your video.

Additional Information
Canvas Studio webcam capture is only supported by Chrome and Firefox browsers. If you use an unsupported browser, Canvas Studio will ask you to switch browsers.
You may need to allow the browser to access your camera and microphone.
