How to Drop for Non-Attendance

This guide will walk you through the steps of certifying a class roster for non-attendance using the Faculty Center navigation. This process ensures that students who have not attended class are marked for non-attendance and updates are saved correctly.

Steps to Certify a Class Roster

  1. Access the Faculty Center:

    • Select the Faculty Center from the center navigation menu.

    • Click on the Schedule tile to view your class schedule.

  2. Open the Class Roster:

    • Locate the class section you want to manage.

    • Click on the Class Roster icon next to the desired class section.

    • Note: For classes with multiple components, enter non-attendance and certify only on the enrollment section.

  3. Mark Non-Attendance:

    • For any student who has not attended class, select Non-Attendance in the Drop for NA column.

  4. Certify and Save Changes:

    • Click the Certify and Save button.

    • Important: There is no automatic warning to remind you to save when leaving the page. Ensure you click Certify and Save to retain your changes.

  5. Confirm Drop for Non-Attendance:

    • When prompted, click Yes to update the Drop for NA information for the students marked.

  6. Finalize Certification (for rosters without drops):

    • Click OK to certify that no students need to be dropped for non-attendance.

    • Note: This action verifies that all students are present and no one is marked for non-attendance.

  7. Verify Certification:

    • Once the class is certified, a date/time stamp will appear, indicating when the roster was certified.
