Faculty & Staff: 2-Factor Enrollment Instructions for YubiKey (Hardware Token)

** Please note that this knowledge base article only applies if you were issued a hardware token by Florida State College at Jacksonville. At present, the college has an exhausted supply, and there are no plans to purchase additional units. It has been demonstrated that the two standard options for two-factor authentication, OneLogin Protect and SMS, are vastly more convenient for end-users, and having fewer options reduces the need for assistance from the help desk in getting users registered.

Begin Setup

Open a browser window on your computer and visit my.fscj.edu. After entering your username and password, you will be presented with the option to either Begin Setup or Skip For Now. Choose [Begin Setup] to enroll in 2-factor authentication.

Continue with enrollment by selecting YubiKey from your computer browser, as seen below.

Plug in the USB YubiKey provided to you by the IT department, and touch the Gold contacts with your finger.

You will see random **’s added to the text box as the enrollment begins.

Once the enrollment is completed, you will be redirected to the application you were trying to access.
