WebEx: Manage Your Chrome Extension for Webex

Browser extension security protects you from running potentially harmful extensions.  There may be a case where the use of the Webex Extension was not turned On in your Chrome browser.  To check if you have the Webex Extension installed and turned On, you can confirm by following the following steps:

#1. On your computer, open Chrome.

#2. At the top right, click the More Options button 

 , go to More Tools, then click on Extensions.

#3. Make changes to the Webex Extension:  Turn On

Install the Webex Chrome Extension

If you are choosing to use the browser plug-in over Webex Desktop App or if you are using Canvas with Webex, you may need to install and turn On the Webex Chrome Extension.  By default at first use, you are typically prompted to install and turn On the extension.  If this wasn’t the case for your computer, please use the following steps to re-install the Webex Chrome Extension.

#1. Log into your Webex dashboard at webex.fscj.edu

#2. In the left navigation pane, click on Downloads.

#3. Scroll down the page until you get to Cisco Webex Meeting browser extension, the click on the Add to Chrome button. 

#4. You will be redirected to Google Chrome’s extensions page for Cisco Webex.  Click on the Add to Chrome button.

#5. Next, at the confirmation pop-up, click Add extension.
