Why Can’t I log into Wireless?

  • Incorrect Password or Timeout

    • If you enter your password incorrectly you will be notified on the login prompt. Any additional attempts to login from that device until the quarantine period is over will cause the lockout timer to reset.

  • Virus

    • If your device is infected with a virus, it may prevent them from connecting properly to the FSCJ-Wireless network.
Users must be set to use DHCP addressing on both IP and DNS settings.

  • Outdated Drivers

    • The drivers for your wireless NIC may be outdated and not be compatible with the connection method used. Contact the hardware manufacturer, Windows Update, or Apple Software Updates for the most recent drivers.

  • WIFI Profile conflict

    • The previous FSCJ-Wireless profile may need to be deleted or “Forgotten” to remove stale WIFI network settings.
