Can I install my own software on the lab computers?
Only the administrator of the computer can install software on a lab computer and only software owned and or licensed by the college can be installed on a lab computer. All requests to have additional software installed on lab computers must go through campus tech support. Campus tech support can be contacted at 904-632-3151 option 1.
What should I do if I'm having trouble using a lab computer?
If you are a faculty or staff member having trouble with a lab computer, please contact tech support.
Where are the computer labs and what are their hours?
There are computer labs at every campus and center. For lab locations and their most up-to-date hours visit the Library and Learning Commons website. Please view the calendar for holiday closings and other scheduled changes.
Are there Mac labs on campus?
There are Mac labs available at all campuses. Please check with the Library and Learning Commons at each campus for more information.
What software is available for use in the labs?
Labs will typically have either the Microsoft Office Suite or the Apple iLife and iWork Suite installed, as well as a current Internet Browser. Please contact campus tech support to learn what additional software may be available for lab computers.
How do I access the lab computers?
A valid Florida State College at Jacksonville username and password is required to log on to a lab computer. If you are having problems logging into lab computers, please see the Computer Lab page.
