This guide will walk you through the steps of certifying a class roster for non-attendance using the Faculty Center navigation. This process ensures that students who have not attended class are marked for non-attendance and updates are saved correctly.
Steps to Certify a Class Roster
Access the Faculty Center:
Select the Faculty Center from the center navigation menu.
Click on the Schedule tile to view your class schedule.
Open the Class Roster:
Locate the class section you want to manage.
Click on the Class Roster icon next to the desired class section.
Note: For classes with multiple components, enter non-attendance and certify
only on the enrollment section

Mark Non-Attendance:
For any student who has not attended class,
select Non-
Attendance in the Drop for NA column.
Certify and Save Changes:
Click the Certify and Save button.
Important: There is no automatic warning
to remind you to save when
leaving the page. Ensure you click Certify and Save
to retain your changes

Click Yes when asked if you want Confirm Drop for Non-Attendance:
When prompted, click Yes to update the Drop for NA information for
the students marked.
Finalize Certification (These next two steps are for those who are updating their class roster, as they have no students being dropped for non-attendance.)Click OK to certify that there are no students who for rosters without drops):
Click OK to certify that no students need to be dropped for non-attendance.
Note: This
action verifies that all students are present and no one is marked for non-attendance

Verify Certification:
Once the class is certified
, a date/time stamp will appear
, indicating when the roster was certified.
Additional Information
Ensure all updates are completed before leaving the page, as unsaved changes will be lost.
Regularly verify class rosters to maintain accurate attendance records.
