WebEx: Manage Your Chrome Extension for Webex

Browser extension security protects you from running potentially harmful extensions.   There may be a case where the use of the Webex Extension was not turned On in your Chrome browser.  To  To check if you have the Webex Extension installed and turned On, you can confirm by following the following steps:#1.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. Click on ‘Extensions'.

  3. Click on ‘Manage Extensions’.

  4. If you see the ‘Cisco Webex Extension’ make sure the toggle switch is turned on.

  5. If you don’t see the ‘Cisco Webex Extension’ you can search for it in the search bar that is provided, or you can click on ‘Chrome Web Store’ at the left in order to search for the Cisco Webex Extension.

Install the Webex Chrome Extension

If you are choosing to use the browser plug-in over Webex Desktop App or if you are using Canvas with Webex, you may need to install and turn On the Webex Chrome Extension.  By default at first use, you are typically prompted to install and turn On the extension.  If this wasn’t the case for your computer, please use the following steps to re-install the Webex Chrome Extension.#1.
